I’ve noticed that a lot of people today have become “Tail-Gators”, meaning that they drive 10″ from the rear bumper of the driver in front of them. I’m not sure what causes folks to have such a high opinion of themselves to make them believe that they have a right to endanger someone else’s life.
I wonder what their reaction would be toward another tail-gator driving this way behind their 16 year old son or daughter who was new to driving. Would they get mad and want to kill that person for doing to theirs what they’ve been doing to others? They might want to re-read the Golden Rule.
Folks, let me put this plainly so there’s no misunderstanding… you aren’t important and you aren’t any more special than anyone else. Please don’t get it into your mind that you have a right to endanger anyone’s life by driving reckless and stupidly (tail-gating) just because you’re in a hurry to get someplace. Think about how you would feel later if you caused someone to go off the road and they were killed as a result. Going to prison would be bad enough, but having to live with what you’ve done would be far worse. You need to consider the possible consequences of your actions.
